Kristine Gailite from Latvia considers to be one of the most promising lyrical-coloratura sopranos of her generation.

Year 1998, directly after finishing her studies at Latvian Music Academi, Kristine Gailite became a soloist at the Latvian National Opera in Riga.

On the stage of this famous opera house Kristine Gailite has performed many leading roles including Eurydice in Orpheus and Eurydice, Liu in Turandot, Rosina in The Barber Of Seville, Gilda in Rigoletto, Violetta in La Traviata.

Kristine Gailite is a prizewinner of the International Vocal Contest in Dresden. In 1995 she won the First Prize at Jazeps Vitols 1st International Vocal Contest.
