He started his international career singing the roll of Calaf in "Turandot" at the Malmφ Opera in Sweden in 2004. The same year be became a prize winner at the Manushko International Competition in Poland, which led to the inviation from the Wiener Staatsoper .

Presently, only at the age of 30, Marian Talaba is already a principal soloist at this famous opera house where he frequently appears as Pinkerton in "Madama Butterfly", Ismael in "Nabucco", Grigory Otrepiev in "Boris Godunov", Tibald in "Romeo and Julia", Herman in "Queen of Spades". Among singers he collaborated with are Anna Netrebko, Leo Nucci, Colorado Domas, Hui He, Feruccio Furlanetto, Maria Gulegina and among conductors are Seiji Ozawa, Marco Armiliato, Fabio Luisi, Marcello Viotti .

Future planes include Laca in "Janufa", Cavaradossi in "Tosca", Gabriele in "Simon Boccanegra".

In August 2007 he debuted as Don Jose in "Carmen" at the Dalhalla Opera Festival in Sweden and in February 2008 he sang the same roll in the original version at the Slovenian National Opera in Ljubljana.
