Vadim Lynkovsky

Represented in Scandinavia and Baltic countries exclusively (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania).

Born 17 March 1973, in Moscow, into a family of music-teachers. In 1992 he graduated from the Moscow A. Shnitke Music College (wind instruments class).

In 1996, he graduated from the vocal department of the Moscow A. Shnitke State Institute of Music.

In 1998, he continued his education at the Moscow State Conservatoire (Pyotr Skusnichenko's class).

1st prizewinner at the All-Russian "Bella Voce" vocal Competition (1997), 1st prizewinner at the 18th Glinka International Competition of Vocalists (1999).

From 1998-1999 he was soloist with Boris Pokrovsky Chamber Music Theatre (in following parts: Leporello and Mazetto in "Don Giovanni", Don Alfonso in "Cossi fan Tutti" by W.A. Mozart).

In 2001, he joined the Bolshoi Theatre Opera Company as the soloist where he has sung the following, among other, roles:

  • Kochubey — "Mazeppa", P. Thaikovsky
  • Timur — "Turandot", G. Puccini
  • Nick Shadow — "The Rake Progress", I. Stravinskiy
  • Magican Chely — "The love for three oranges", S. Prokofiev
  • Banco — "Macbeth", G. Verdi
  • Prinz Gremin — "Evgeniy Onegin", P. Thaikovsky
  • An old convict — "Lady Macbeth of Mzenskiy Uyezd", S. Shostakovich
